I have an E8500 on a G31M-ES2L, maxed out with 4GB RAM. I have to say since upgrading from Win8.1 64-bit to Win10 I have noticed something of a slowdown. I upgraded manually rather than Microsoft telling me it was time. The upgrade process took ELEVEN HOURS (seriously) but didn't crash.
I let it sort itself out overnight and it was still running until I finished my breakfast the following day. That aside, Windows 10 is slower on my machine than Windows 8.1, enough to make me consider upgrading my hardware, for the first time in years!
