By far my favorite part of owning Razer hardware is the synapse software and the included macro creator. The macros can have quite a bit of depth and can lend to a great gaming experience. Feel free to share a story or some tips from your macro crafting adventures. I find it very helpful in MMOs to create a macro that uses all skills and makes sure to never miss a global cooldown. This is easily achieved by slotting all of your desired skills (off GCD skills too) into slots 1-10 for example. Record a macro that clicks buttons with 0.05 second default delay between presses. Assign the macro to a key (I use my Naga 2 key) and set it to continuously play while the key is pressed.

Pros:. The macro will use all of your skills without multiple clicks.

You can put a skill without a cooldown at the end of the macro to use when everything is on cooldown. You won't wear out your mouse/keyboard as fast. You can set the macro to toggle on/off and simply walk around tab targetting while watching tv. Cons:.

Not being able to time individual skills is an obvious drawback in skilled pvp/raids. The macro will be very resource draining in certain games where you still have to worry about stamina/mana. You will appear to look like you have a neurological problem and don't know how to play. There`s a lot of uses for macros starting with games, through digital painting, ending on 3d art.

How could i thought i would never use macros. I don`t think i have any funny stories with creating or using macros but i have a warning, never ever put a macro that doesn`t have long delay between keys with option 'Toggle contunous playback on/off using assined key' If you won`t put delay, macro will block your keys. I used it once during RUST so i could read book during cutting down trees, i had to shut down my PC cause keyboard or mouse wouldn`t react. Most of my macros are geared toward MMO's. I find it's generally not best to link all your abilities into one button. In most MMO's, your performance will drop pretty drastically, as most rotations rely on human input. Some MMO's, different story.

My Engineer in Wildstar for example, had like three attacks: Single Target, AoE, and Stun.achieved with the kind of sequence macros mentioned in the OP. Makes for kind of boring gameplay though, but 'kind of boring' was my impression of WS in general, so I didn't last long anyway.

What I generally do with macros is to start by programming a single keystroke, like. Code: 1.05 MS Delay 1.075 MS Delay.then set that to play repeatedly while pressed. You can now spam a button by holding it down. Next, add whatever else you want to happen in tandem with that keystroke. For example, I play The Secret World, TSW, which has a key to collect nearby loot.

Instead of fumbling with that key every time I kill something, I just tied it into my attacks. So first I bind that action, in game, to a key I don't use for anything else, like: and then adjust the macto accordingly. Code: 1.05 MS Delay 1.075 MS DelayNow when I'm fighting and something around me dies, it's loot gets sucked up immediately. More functions?

Some of my macros get pretty lengthy; again in TSW, there are a few other mechanics that I like to include: - Holding Ctrl while pressing a hotkey will change the behavior of that ability if it's a ground-targeted AoE (i.e., click the ability, then click the ground where you want your toon to fire). I don't like GTAOE. Because they take too long to execute, especially in fast paced combat like PvP. Holding Ctrl will switch the behavior to 'Targeted AoE' or TAOE, meaning that instead of letting you choose on the ground where you want to fire, it simply shoots it at your target, so that they are in the center of the AoE. So, I'd want to wrap the 1 mentioned above with a Ctrl.

TSW also makes use of trinkets (up to two of them), which are just short stat buffs. I find that I never use them if left to my own devices. My keybinding for those is Shift+4 and Shift+5, so I want that in my macro as well, making the trinkets fire as soon as they're off cooldown when I hit an attack. With all that, my macro looks like this: Looks complicated, but what it's doing is: - Press Ctrl+1, to fire off the 1 button on my action bar, and change GTAOE to TAOE when applicable. Press Ctrl+, to collect loot. Ctrl doesn't do anything here, it was just convenient to program it that way. Press Shift+4 and Shift+5, to fire off my trinkets.

I make a similar macro for action key 2, 3, etc. Combine this with the push-and-hold-to-spam mentioned earlier, and I can focus on my rotation without being distracted by vacuuming corpses for their coin, or watching the CD for my trinkets. And with the push-and-hold-to-spam, I don't have to rely on in game ability queues, which are often cumbersome and result in firing off an extra of something when you only mean to do it once; or worse, queueing the wrong ability and then having to wait for the entire painstaking animation to complete to hit the one you want. And when you're being eaten by a C'thulu Zombie, the milliseconds count!this is why I'll never be able to game without my Naga Epic!!

Outside of gaming, I use a macro to color code forum text at a website I frequent. I always make my text a specific shade of green there. The macro looks like this. Click to expand.Best tip I have is to avoid using a macro to execute an entire rotation - that will generally nerf yourself.

Focus instead on anything in game you find yourself spamming - it's a lot more comfortable to hold a button than to mash it, so if your mashing one, make a macro to mash it for you. Then, if there's anything else you want it to do while spamming, like the vacuum loot thing, just add that in.

I'd be happy to help you make something more specific - just let me know which game you're playing and if there's anything about it you'd like to macro. I'm also finding synapse to be a great tool in art software as well - macros saved me from HOURS of repetitive work in making the cursors linked in my sig - so think outside gaming! I'm not familiar with that field, but keep an eye out for any sequences you find yourself typing/clicking manually - though keep in mind that Synapse currently cannot control cursor movement, which is a shame, but you can do a surprising amount of work without the cursor by using the tab key and pressing enter on the field you want to select, and that CAN be automated. Anywho, Witcher 2.

I only used three macros in that game: Spam left click, spam right click, and spam left click + space. The first two are primarily used for controlling your sword, but are also useful for basically skipping those stupid scenes that require you to spam click, like the loading the ballista scene in the intro. The Left Click + Space is great for looting things - make sure your sword is sheathed, and hold that button down; any time you are in range of a lootable herb or corpse or something, you will open the loot window and almost instantly take all the loot (because of the space button). I'd also suggest downloading an addon that removes the weight from items - I've always found inventory limits in games like this to be counter-immersive, despite their intent being realism.

Personally, IRL, I've never picked up a glass of water and suddenly found myself immobilized because I surpassed '300 lb weight limit'.it's just not a good mechanic in these kind of games. Here are my macro files: extract this to your desktop, then use the Macro tab in synapse to import them. Not possible to do that all with -a- synapse macro, to my knowledge; but you can assign a key in Synapse to 'Launch Program' which even has a sub-option to launch a website directly. From there, you can program another key with a macro that plugs in your login info. To make that, go to the macro tab and start a new macro; set a default delay for something close to 0.020 (you don't want it to be too fast, or sometimes the browser/program won't recognize a keystroke, and they will occasionally get skipped).

Click 'record' and type out the login info as you would normally, i.e.:,.this is assuming the 'name' field is active when the page loads; if it isn't, load the page and press 'tab' until that field can receive text - count the number of 'tab' keystrokes it took, and add that to the begining of the macro, i.e.:, Alternatively, you could do:,.in which case, you'll have to mouseover the 'name' field manually before executing the macro. Anywho, you'll be able to launch a website and fill in the login info with two keystrokes - not bad.now just be careful not to hit the login macro when you're in a chat room or something.this stuff can be confusing at first, so let me know if anything isn't clear. And yep, I'm from/in Oregon. Love the scenery here!may not be here for much longer though - leaving March 24 for Air Force basic training, and will spend the following 4+ years going wherever they tell me to. After that, who knows where I'll end up. Click to expand.bow. Also I don't think I mentioned in my earlier posts, but when you're assigning a macro to a button, pay special attention to the 'Play Once' 'Toggle Continuous Playback' and 'Play While Assigned Key Is Pressed'.for gaming, I find the 'play while assigned key is pressed' to generally be the best: press-and-hold-to-spam.

The toggle continuous playback can be annoying, especially if you bump your mouse and hit several of them, and then have to figure out while ones are firing and which ones aren't while your poor character is having an input-overload induced seizure. The toggle can also be risky in online games; most of them have policies against automation to an extent that the user cannot use software to play the game while away from the keyboard.

If you hit a toggle an accident, or get distracted from the game while it's on, and your character is just standing there jumping for hours on end. Other player will notice, and you're going to look a lot like a malfunctioning bot to them, and you'll probably get reported/banned.

'Play while assigned key is pressed' is a great way to prevent that. For work functions (outside of gaming) I find it's the opposite - I use a lot of 'play once' and 'toggle continuous' actions. In fact, if you can do.work. while AFK, then hell yea, do it!

You're not going to get 'banned' (fired ) for being exceptionally productive!
